Board & Staff

The CCGCD was created to determine policy and regulate the withdrawal of groundwater within the boundaries of the District for the purposes of conserving, preserving, protecting and recharging the groundwater within the District, and for the purpose of preventing waste of the groundwater within the District, and to exercise its rights, powers, and duties in a way that will effectively and expeditiously accomplish the purposes of the District Act and of Chapter 36, Water Code, as amended, and of Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution. The Board’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the adoption and enforcement of reasonable rules and other orders.

Directors serving on the District's Board serve staggered four-year terms and are elected by the voters according to the ACT creating the District. The District shall hold an election to elect the appropriate number of directors on the uniform election date prescribed by Section 41.001. Election Code, in November of each even-numbered year.

 Staff

Aaron Weishuhn, General Manager

Aaron joined the District in January of 2025. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Aaron majored in Rangeland Ecology and Management and minored in Environmental Soil Science. He is a native of Colorado County.  Aaron, Abigail, and their children reside in Columbus. 

Kim Ferguson, Office Manager

Kim has been employed by the District since 2009. She attended Baker College and earned a degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management. She is a bonded notary for the State of Texas. Kim and her husband, Gregg, reside in Weimar.
